Gift Exchange

Every Christmas day my entire family comes together for dinner and a gift exchange. We put everyone's name into a bag and we all draw one. Each person goes one at a time and opens their gifts. That way they know who each gift is from and everyone can enjoy watching. After they open their gifts they see whose name they have drawn and they must say why that person is special to them, including a special memory they have about that person. It is wonderful every year. Sometimes you get so choked up and emotional that it is hard to finish. But it makes everyone really realize how special being together at Christmas is. Then we all go eat the huge meal together !!
