Homemade Rootbeer

by Erick B.
(Ames, IA, USA)

Directions for making Homemade Rootbeer:

Stir one and a quarter tablespoons of rootbeer flavor/extract and one cup of sugar into a half gallon of water in a large mixing bowl or pot.

Add one pound of dry ice. The dry ice will bubble and produce fog, giving a "witches' cauldron" effect. After the dry ice is completely gone your rootbeer will be well carbonated.

Kids have alot of fun with this one!

I Root for That!

That sounds like a fun recipe to brew for Halloween too, especially in one of those big black cauldrons.
