Purchase cardboard jewelry boxes from the Dollar Store and spray paint them black or dark gray. Fill the inside with craft moss and a fake, bloody finger with a string tied around it. Place your invitation inside the box (or print a sticky label for the lid) that reads something like - Dont' "forget" to come to our party on October 27th, etc., etc. You'll likely have to hand deliver these to keep them cost-effective.
