Girl Stuff, Issue #014 -- Show Me the Green
February 24, 2007
Hi Girls!

St. Patrick's Day is only a few weeks away. Though it is not one of the biggest celebrations of the year, it is certainly a lot of fun. Just thinking about the color green and the fact that spring is right around the corner makes it even more exciting. And who hasn't dreamed of having their own lucky leprechaun with a pot of gold awaiting them?

If this is your first issue of Girl Stuff, you can get your complimentary Beauty Tips e-book by clicking here! The password is only available to those who have subscribed to Girl Stuff and therefore not included in the back issues. I hope you enjoy the information and beauty recipes.

There are several easy homemade bath treatment recipes included in the ebook that would make lovely St. Patrick's Day favors or gifts. Just add one drop of green food coloring to any of the recipes to make a luxurious green bath treatment, or add a drop of orange and a few coins to create a pot of gold bath surprise (Note: if you don't want to use real coins, buy some plastic ones at the dollar store).

Sadly, Valentine's Day has passed, but don't let that put a damper on planning a fun couple's get-together. Weddings, bridal showers, and couple's parties are perfect venues for Valentine games and couples' oriented activities. How about a Couples' Murder Mystery Party?

Fun Activity

I just hosted a Murder Mystery for my niece's Sweet 16 party. It was so much fun. I would recommend it for any all-girl pampering night out. The mystery is set at a chocolate spa and the guests are celebrating the upcoming nuptials of one of their dear friends/associates.

For the party we set up one room as a spa, one as a bridal shower location, one as a place to view evidence, and one as a formal dining room.

We checked the girls in, giving them a spa bag with spa goodies and a plush purple towel.

We began the evening with a bridal shower and played bridal shower games. We used one of the diva girl fun libs, plus two other games. Next, we had the bride-to-be open some typical bridal gifts... lingerie, garters, etc. Of course she was blushing, but the girls laughed and laughed.

After the bridal shower portion we moved to the diningroom and toasted the bride. It was then that the first victim fell dead. The girl did such a great job of faking her death that the other guests were screaming and scared for several moments. Of course, they all laughed wildly afterwards. The victim then received another part and we proceeded to dine, uncover clues, enjoy spa treatments, etc. It was so much fun! You can check out the mystery in more detail at Diva Girl Night Murder Mystery Party and view some of the details of my niece's party at Ranae's Virtual Party Space. Photos of the party will be added soon.
