Diva Dinner Party

The party girl's mom can be the hostess and you can invite others to serve as waiters/ress, bartender, etc.

For the invitations you can use a high heel shoe cut out, or something similar.

Have the girls dress up in mom's evening gowns or something very fancy. They can also wear mom's high heels if they fit.

For activities we had:
- makeup application by an adult volunteer
- the dinner party

Set the table with fine china including wine glasses. For easier party planning order a take out dinner, I used Boston Market and then placed all the food on platters and served them.

- have a pageant
- have a dance contest

For favors I was able to get goody bags at Bath and Body for a fraction of the cost after X-mas.

The party ended with a sleepover. The girls had sleeping bags in the family room and they watched a girlie movie and had snacks served to them.

OMG!

Oh my gosh!!! This sounds like so much fun!!! I'm turning 14 and we are going to buy a brand new dress and high heels and we are having my friends dress up too!!!

My mom is the hostess and she has arranged for her friends to be the waitresses and bartenders.

We are having a 4 course meal followed by a dance party and afterward we are going to have a slumber party.

In the morning we are having a formal brunch:)

I'm so excited:)<3

Wine Glasses

Should a parent never have a drink in front of their children? How about we teach our children to be responsible and not worry about such petty things. I love the idea!!! We are serving cupcakes in martini glasses at my daughters 4th birthday party. Guess I am creating little lushes lol

OMG on the wine glass issue. It's just a glass! You can serve ice cream or jello in it or a Dixie cup and a kid won't think of anything else. They don't care! It just adds a little class to a girly theme...whosa!!!!

Wine glasses are simply a glass. Children are products of their environment. They will not become lushes because they went to a party detailing the finer things in life. Get off your high horse. A decent restaurant serves water in a wine glass. There's non-alcohol wines and beers.

Beautiful Glasses

Wine glasses are used at upscale restaurants for water even. They emit an atmosphere of elegance, not a need for alcohol consumption.

Honestly, I have never been a drinker, but I have always had beautiful wine glasses in my home for use in serving all sorts of drinks and even the odd fancy dessert.

Good idea, but wine glasses?

I think that was a wonderful thing, but the wine glasses though no alcohol is indiginous to alcohol therefore exposing kids to the idea of drinking at a young age. I'm not saying you did not have the kids interest at heart, but that you did. Sometimes, as parents, we do not realize how little things such as that make big imoacts in our kids lives and generation. I have made my mistakes too, but we live, learn and grow.
