Christmas Eve Tradition

by MIchelle Fox
(Roselle, Illinois, USA)

Every Christmas Eve, my sister and I pack up our kids and husbands and head for our parents' house. My mom makes a turkey meal and each of the children are allowed to open Christmas gifts from the grandparents and cousins. We play Christmas music and the children share their toys. We take lots of pictures! This tradition makes our children feel like they get two Christmas celebrations and we never fight over which relatives to go to on Christmas day because we have already dedicated one night to my parents.
