Girls Fun Lib Party Game

Fun Mad Libs Style Game
for Girls Nights and Bridal Showers

women laughing at funny mad libs game

girls fun lib is a great game to use as an icebreaker at a party or a shower.

These fun libs are like mad libs and you're sure to get a lot of laughs reading back the scenarios you've unwittingly come up with.

I recently played the second one at a bridal shower and it was hilarious.

Some of the scenarios turned out to be so funny that the laughter continued for minutes at a time.

We saved the cards to put in a scrapbook for the bride-to-be after the shower so it pays to print the game on nice paper or purchase the cards below (as I did).

Note: Be sure to follow the directions and most of all ... HAVE FUN!

Girls Fun Lib #1

First, hand out the following questions to your guests.

1. Something I own that I don't like is _________________.

2. I've had it for ____________________ (length of time).

3. I don't like it because it __________________________.

4. I lost interest in it when it ________________________.

5. I would be willing to sell it for ____________.

Be sure everyone has finished filling in their answers and then pass out the following paragraph.

The answers given to the above questions must be transferred to the corresponding numbers in this paragraph.

Note: Answer number 1 will not be used, but don't tell your guests that until they are given the paragraph below.

Today I am offering (name of husband/boyfriend or other

male person you are fond of)
 ____________________ for

the bargain price of
 (answer #5) __________ because

he
 (answer #3) ______________________________. I've

had him for
 (answer #2) ____________________ and he

(answer #4) ____________________. Any takers?

Example of a Finished Paragraph

Today I am offering Tim for the bargain price of $2.00 because he
is too short. I've had him for 2 years and he shrunk. Any takers?

I used a skirt that I no longer like to fill in the answers to the questions above. How fun is that?

Note: Some paragraphs will turn out better than others, but there's certain to be a few that will really tickle your funnybone.

IMPORTANT: It is best that no one know about the paragraph till the questions are filled in. Otherwise, people tend to answer what they think might fit into a potential paragraph rather than focusing on legitimately answering the questions.

Girls Fun Lib #2

VARIATION: (probably not appropriate for a party with children) As above, first hand out the following questions to your guests.

1. My name is __________________________.

2. A chore I hate is ________________________________.

3. I hate it because ________________________________.

Be sure everyone has finished filling in their answers and then pass out the following paragraph.

The answers given to the above questions must be transferred to the corresponding numbers in this paragraph.

Note: Answer number 2 will not be used, but don't tell your guests that until they are given the paragraph below.

My name is ____________________ (answer #1) and I

hate sex because (answer #3) _____________________

_____________________________________________.

Side Note:  You can always go with I hate kissing rather than I hate sex if the latter is inappropriate for your party.

Example of a Finished Paragraph

My name is Julie and I hate sex because it is repetitive, tedious, and boring!

I used doing the dishes as the chore I hate to fill in the answers to the questions above.
