For our party we had everyone fill out a "Steak" request sheet and we gave them a number as they entered our home. The kids ran these out to the Cook at the BBQ.

When supper time came, as their steak came up, rare medium or well the cook would call out the number. Everyone's steak was done to everyone's liking.

Also included on the sheet was whether they wanted baked potato, potato salad or beans and we made up the plate.
