My family and I recently started a new tradition. To kick off our Christmas season we go to a madrigal feast. This event is hosted by my high school in Arizona. You see, my family and I recently moved down to Arizona. Our Christmas traditions always started with going out in the snow and cutting a tree down. Because there is a lack of snow here, we felt the need to find a new tradition. So, we started out the Christmas season by going to this feast.

There are three different schools all dressed in renaissance costume. This night basically consists of a dinner theatre with a lot of excellent music. There is one song to every event of the evening. It was one of the most fun nights I have experienced since living in Arizona. Everyone in my family felt this way, so naturally we have established our new tradition. We will continue going to the Feast every year from here on.
