As a family grows larger it's hard to remember everyone's name. Cousins who we knew when we were little have children we don't know at all, people get married and we may have met the new spouse only once or twice; simply put: families grow and change.
The Middle Name Game can be played in several ways. Everyone can write their middle name on a piece of paper and then each family member draws a slip of paper with a middle name and tries to guess whose name it is. Another way to play is to give prizes for such things as the most common middle name, or the middle names that start with the same letter most often or even the most unique middle name. You can even make teams out of all the players with middle names starting with "C" for example, or all of the unique lettered names, etc. Then choose another game to play. In this way, we end up on a team of people not strickly based on those we're already comfortable with. It's a great way to get everyone involved and learn a little more about those in our family we've not had the pleasure to know.
